Valeh Nazemoff started her career in the field of healthcare, first working in an OB/GYN practice in Gaithersburg and Bowie, MD for over four years. During that time, she assisted patients, did office management support, as well as handling insurance and claims processing. As a pre-med student, Valeh did rounds at Shady Grove Hospital in MD and gained experience in the ER, delivery rooms, operating rooms, and participated in both pre and post-op surgery rounds. She has also worked in the orthodontic, dental, and optometric fields. She ran the infrastructure of an optometric office, dealing with sales and inventory management of eyewear products, including contact lenses and glasses, as well as dealing with the office's marketing and insurance needs. Within her first year there, she grew the practice 130 percent. Valeh also worked for a salon in Arlington, VA, computerizing their system in order to provide scheduling, inventory management and financial updates for reporting, point of sales system (POS) and barcode scanning. This led Valeh to pursue her interest in the Information Technology field. After graduating from George Mason University with a Bachelor's Degree (Bachelor of Science) in Psychology, she worked for a global software company by the name of Computer Associates (CA). After working there for over three years, Valeh moved on to become the Vice President of Business Development for a COTS Integration/ Services company in Fredericksburg, VA by the name of Acolyst. She successfully grew Acolyst into what CRN Magazine named in 2004 'The Second Fastest Growing Solution Integrator Nationwide.' Valeh was then asked to join CRN Magazine, a CMP publishing company, as an Editorial Cabinet Member, where she has been serving for three consecutive years. Prior to receiving her second MBA, Valeh was accepted to law school. Instead of pursuing the field of law, however, she decided to work towards a second degree in Global Management through the University of Phoenix (UOPHX). Currently, in the evenings, she teaches business classes for the University of Phoenix Online and its sister company, Western International University. In addition to this, Valeh has obtained her Spa & Hospitality Management Certificate through the University of California-Irvine, which included classes such as: "Spa Development and Operations, Spa Marketing and Retailing Management, Customer Engagement in the Spa Industry, Spa Industry Finance, History & Introduction of Spa Industry, Services, and Treatment, and others." Through her love and passion for people and strong market demand, Valeh decided to open Selais MedSpaTM. She has been trained and certified by a physician, manufacturer, and the Laser Training Institute. Also she is a licensed Laser Specialist. She is also certified through the National Council of Laser Excellence (NCLE). Valeh is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Valeh is an active mentor for students at the University of Mary Washington and James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg, VA. Using her IT knowledge, healthcare background, knowledge of spa operations, and strong love of people, Valeh spends her evenings and weekends focusing on Selais MedSpaTM. In her spare time she enjoys playing both the violin and the piano, as well as spending time with her friends and family.
